About Anna

Growing up in Sweden, I developed an early interest in health and well-being. In 1986, I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. During my career as a nurse, I worked in cardiac, intensive, home, and hospice care as well as being a part-time clinical instructor at a local nursing school.

In 2003, I made the switch to massage therapy. I find that there is such joy in being able to bring a person immediate relief of their symptoms and to be able to have a positive impact on their health and happiness!

I attended the Amherst School of Massage in Easthampton, MA and received 500 hours of extensive training in anatomy and physiology, pathology, and a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, Shiatsu, and reflexology. I have also received additional training in Active Isolated Stretching, Myofascial Unwinding, and Shiatsu.

With my nursing background, I have the ability to safely administer massage, while keeping in mind current and past medical conditions, medications that you may be taking, as well as specific instructions or restrictions from other health care providers. I will be happy to work with other members of your health care team to obtain your goal of improved health and happiness.

I am a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and am nationally certified in therapeutic massage. I am licensed to practice massage in Massachusetts, with license #5673.

I am a health-minded, creative, and highly intuitive practitioner who also enjoys educating people about health and well-being whenever possible. I love what I do and hope you will too!
